Outdoor shoot (Part 3)

Here comes Part 3...

Today, I'm going to share another photoshoot experience. This is not the usual online fashion store photoshoots. But more of those themed-photoshoots, so don't expect to see nice clothes here ~

Try figuring it out what the theme is, hehe.
Answer will be revealed at the bottom of the post ^^

The venue of the shoot is Chinese Garden, some place that I've never been before but apparently I was told it was one of the popular places in the past for the older generation. We arranged to meet up at 7.30am, which means I had to wake up real early to prepare. I always have a love-hate relationship with morning shoots, I don't know why.

Cabbed down to Chinese Gardens and on the way there, the sky colour started to darken. I was hoping it doesn't rain because it was an outdoor shoot after all, but damn it, it rained in the end. Thank god, no one cancel the shoot!

A self-shot, reflecting my mood caused by the rain while waiting for one of the photographers to come fetch me.

I guess I was lucky because once I met up with the other photographers, the rain/drizzle had stopped! Outdoor shoot was back on track! Hooray!

Oh yes, you didn't see any grammatical errors - I did typed "photographers". Not 2, not 3, but 5/6 if I'm not wrong! Couldn't remember the exact number but yes, that many! I got a shock when I realized there would be so many photographers!

Few pictures of Chinese Garden when we were walking towards the Pagoda for a less wet area. Look at the gloomy sky :/

We didn't waste any precious time and we went ahead to do our things. The photographers testing the lighting and their equipments. They brought so many equipments along and for a moment, I thought I was shooting a professional shoot.

1, 2, 3, SNAP!
Shoot commenced.

Started shooting about 8plus, 9am till 12plus. The sun started appearing as time passed by and it was getting harsher for me to shoot under the hot sun. Tried my best to do my utmost best and hoping the photos turn out well. And I was glad that I didn't disappoint the photographers. Throughout the shoot, I received many praises from them :)

So now, time to look at the pretty photos they took. It was amazingly pretty, not praising myself but the effect of the photos :)

Like I've said, my Instagram received the first-hand news and I posted this photo 2 weeks ago...

So do you have any idea what theme was I shooting for???
Haha, actually, just by looking at the photos, I really couldn't tell it myself too :p

The theme is:
WAITING

Waiting for your date, waiting for a miracle, waiting for anything/anyone.
The main idea is to show the desire for that person/thing to come, without any sign of frustration, but purely to yearn.

I was glad I took up this shoot because I met nice photographers who are really very patient with me. They are not stern and fierce, and they kept joking with me. I've learnt a lot from them too, like they impart me knowledge of what photographers generally look out for, how to be more natural and it is definitely useful even for other less-professional shoots that I'm going to take on in time to come. Overall, wonderful experience for me! :)

Just a short update, I found a temporary office job for this summer holiday and therefore, I will be blogging less. I hope this explains why this post took so long to appear in this space. I will also be blogging about the one MAJOR factor why I will blog lesser too, in my next few posts perhaps. For first hand news, follow me on Instagram!

Busy June (Part 2)

Sorry for being emotional again.
Once I get over it, I will be fine, promise :)
And you readers don't need to suffer too hehe.

I felt I was on a roller-coastar ride in the past 2 weeks. Downs and ups. And I'm not kidding. The first week, I felt like I plunged into darkness, feeling helpless and all I wanted was to cry. Everything came falling down on me and I was reflecting why did my life turned out this way. What had I done wrong? Personally speaking, I really dislike unexpected changes in my life. When things go wrong, I will have many question marks in my head till I got so tired figuring it out.

But I was glad that things didn't turn out as bad as I thought! For example, I didn't score badly for my exams which I thought I would really screw them up. And many more. Things that happened recently makes me stronger (I didn't cry though I wanted to) and also, allows me to understand who and what my priorities are.

Despite that, one thing that I really enjoy about this June is that I started leading a busy life. Busy life with various photoshoots, which I will mention them later. And being busy, I learnt how to cherish time with my love ones. Every weekend, every lunch/dinner, in fact, every moment is very important to me now. I know one day, for sure, I will be complaining in this space about how tiring it is or how I stretch over my body limits for this lifestyle. But trust me, I will never regret accepting such lifestyle in my life. Because of this, I really learn how to cherish and appreciate people around me more :)

So I was saying photoshoot, then let me introduce you this newly set up online store.
J.Bijou Closet

The unique point about this online store is that it divided itself into 3 segments, namely the
1) Popular Wardrobe
2) Private Label
3) Import from Korea

Each segment wishes to target different groups of consumers, for example, segment 3 targets consumers that are patient as preorders are required, therefore, impatient consumers should understand that this is not the category that they should go for.

So for a start, they have released their first collection for Popular Wardrobe.
Pretty dresses of good quality!

In conjunction with their first release, they are now doing a give-away to 5 lucky winners!
All you need to do is to follow these steps and you may stand a chance to win the dress of your choice! :)

Next up, I will bring along more interesting posts about my busy June.

Inner thoughts / Ling's 21st

What is the worst thing you could ever expect from a relationship?
Arguments.
This always lead to 2 outcomes - Reconcile or separation for good.
And this applies to all relationships, be it family ties, friendship or BGR.

In the absence of 2 weeks, I've learnt how fragile relationships are.
It could all start out from a stupid, harmless or slip-of-the-tongue sentence...
Or the annoying tone from the other party...
Or the potential saboteurs that convey a wrong message...
Or even the weak inferential skills.

All sorts of possibilities and I personally find it stupid to assume things from the way it is.
If you are currently experiencing whatever I've said or making assumptions from the way you view certain things, let me tell you the best solution...
CONFRONTATION

If the other party is someone that you once held dearly or one that is still important to you, no matter how harsh the truth may be like, just muster your courage and face the reality.
Even if there is no other chance for the relationship to carry on, at least you know how it ended.
Apologize if there is a need; admit it when you caused a mistake.
Be truthful; there's nothing else to hide.

This is what I learnt recently:
"Those who mind don't matter; those who matters don't mind"

It's through arguments that you see the true colours of the other party.
Because during these arguments, trust is one of the key points to the end outcome.
And I've seen mine.

Moving on to happier stuff.
Let me share what I had been doing in the past 2 weeks.
Highly doubt it would be in chronological order though, so don't be confused!
I will post dates along for easier reading and follow up ^^

2 weeks ago, 25 May, another baby girl of mine held her 21st birthday party and one day later, she was off to a 2 weeks Europe trip. Good life right! I'm soooo jealous because this holiday I don't think I will be going overseas :/ Stuck in this small island, hais.

I planned to go over early to help out in the decorations but I didn't make it on time due to other plans and was a little late. When I reached there, I was super tired because I woke up 6 in the morning that day to prepare for a morning shoot which was the book promotion book in the previous post, and never take a nap at all till I got home which was about 21 hours later.

But I was happy that the party went well, without any major hiccups.
And all thanks to my good friend, Marcus, for booking his condo's function room for us 2-3 weeks before the actual party. We faced a major problem with venue then but phew, luckily we managed to find one in time.

After chunks of words, now let the photos do the talking...

The cake and cupcakes look super pretty right???
And there is something really special about the cake.
